Finally,
on our fourth Sunday, we had one visitor come to our
service! Praise the Lord! This was such an encouragement
and confirmation to us; it was God demonstrating His
love for the people in this area, as well. Today, in
July 2005, we have 13-15 people attending Bangkok City
Church! In fact, in April, we baptized EIGHT people
(all new converts) in water. To accomplish this, we
had to travel to another province to a waterfall where
we baptized them in front of hundreds of bystanders!
Hundreds of Buddhist people (and hundreds of FISH!)
all witnessed these new followers of Jesus give testimony
of their salvation!
“TESTIMONIES OF PROVISION”
In
the beginning, we spent our personal funds to purchase
evangelistic tools (tracts, cd’s, etc.) to distribute
in the area. We distributed about 5,000 pieces of evangelism
material in an area populated with over 500,000 people.
And, now that we have new converts and members, they
are learning to tithe and give offerings which we are
able to utilize for purchasing more evangelistic tools.
